About Me

Widowed and retired now, I was born a Mississippi subsistence-farm kid just as WWII ended. Migrant upbringing; dad followed the land drilling rigs in the South. Bored in school, raised near the East Texas oilfield. I got a little college in Electrical Engineering. I have worked in aerospace manufacturing (Apollo moon program), high-tech toys (first electronic wristwatch) and the dawn of high-tech oil drilling tools. Years as a self-employed management consultant. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

 Why I Write

I started this blog as a way to express my deep disgust at how our Nation is being led. The blog is working for me now; I feel much better after I post a new rant.

Please give me feedback on what you like, what works and what doesn’t work.  I need that.

Thank you.

  1. From one curmudgeon to another, keep venting! I may not agree with your views and may bristle at some of your comments & biases, but I know how to agreeably disagree. Too bad you don’t have the option for feedback and comments.

    • Thanks, Tom. I appreciate your viewpoint. There is a comment link at the bottom of each post. I welcome your specific issues and opinion.

  2. One old Texas curmudgeon to another…Like your website…like your point of view. Keep it up….when they shut down our right to say what we think, we will only have one option left, and it won’t be pretty. I’m not looking forward to it….(oh, and happy Father’s day)…Springer

    • Springer,
Thanks for the kind comments. You are a daily read although I confess that I do not have the energy for daily postings as you do. More power to you. Happy Father’s Day to you as well. Godspeed and warmest regards.
